Beans and legumes are full of fibre and protein helping you feel fuller in between meals.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-width=\"1125\" data-height=\"754\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-images-1.medium.com\/max\/800\/1*ZzWjvSbaquwfD9BrtQCUWw.jpeg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><br \/>\n<\/figure>\n<p><strong><em>Ingredients<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1\u20132 tsp olive oil<br \/>\u00bc brown or red onion, finely diced<br \/>1 clove garlic, thinly sliced<br \/>\u00bd tsp ground cumin<br \/>Pinch of chilli flakes (optional)<br \/>Remaining \u00be can pinto beans, drained and rinsed (about \u00bd cup)<br \/>Remaining \u00be can butter beans, drained and rinsed (about \u00bd cup)<br \/>2 Tbsp chipotle sauce<br \/>\u00bd tsp salt<br \/>Juice of \u00bd lemon or 1 lime<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>To Serve<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 Tbsp yoghurt or lite sour cream (optional)<br \/>1 Tbsp chopped coriander<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Method<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Heat oil in a medium fry-pan on medium heat. Saut\u00e9 onion, garlic and cumin for 4\u20135 minutes, until onion is soft.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>2. Add onion mixture to a food processor with chilli (if using), beans, chipotle sauce, salt and lemon juice. Blitz until well combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper, and more lemon juice if needed.<\/p>\n<p>To serve, warm dip up in the microwave or stove top, top with a dollop of yoghurt or sour cream and garnish with coriander.
