Preheat BBQ to medium-high (if using).
Pat chicken dry and cut into steaks. Place your hand flat on top of chicken and slice through horizontally. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook chicken on BBQ for 3-4 minutes each side, or until cooked through. Alternatively, use the same method to cook in a large frypan with a drizzle of oil. Fry bacon until cooked.
Place buns on grill side of BBQ. Alternatively, grill on high in oven for 2-3 minutes, or until crisp.
Assemble burgers. Add your choice of fillings and sauces.
