Preheat oven to 200°C bake. Grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin with liners.
In a large bowl, combine muffin mix, salt, grated cheese (reserve a handful for the topping), and diced ham.
Add eggs and milk and gently stir to combine. Divide mixture between muffin cups and sprinkle with reserved cheese.
Bake for about 14 minutes, or until muffins spring back to the touch and the cheese is melted and golden.
Remove from the oven and cool for 5 minutes before eating.
