Asian Braised Beef with Spring Onion and Rice

Ingredients

Braised Beef

  • 1 Asian braised beef
  • 2 spring onions

Rice and Beans

  • 2 cups jasmine rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 200g green beans

Steps

  1. Cook beef Preheat oven to 180°C. Remove plastic cover from Asian braised beef and cover with foil. Place on an oven tray and cook for about 30 minutes, until heated through. Stir halfway to ensure even cooking. Alternatively, spoon meal into an oven dish and cook at 200°C for about 25 minutes, until heated through. Thinly slice spring onions.
  2. Cook rice Combine rice, water and a pinch of salt in a pot and bring to the boil. Once boiling, cover with a lid and reduce to lowest heat to cook for 12 minutes. Turn off heat and steam, still covered, for 8 more minutes. Do not lift lid during cooking
  3. Cook beans Bring a full kettle of water to the boil. Place beans in a heat-proof bowl and pour over boiling water. Cover and steam for about 3 minutes, until bright green and tender.
  4. Serve rice topped with braised beef and spring onions, with beans on the side.
