Lamb Burgers

Ingredients

Lamb Burgers

  • 1 pack Greek lamb mince
  • 5 burger buns, cut in half
  • ½ cos lettuce *
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 carrot
  • 50g feta cheese

To Serve

  • 1 pack tomato chutney
  • ¼ cup tomato sauce (optional, kids) ^
  • ¼ cup mayo ^

Steps

  1. Prep patties Preheat oven to 180°C. Preheat BBQ to medium (if using). Using wet hands, divide lamb mince into 5 and shape into patties, a little larger than buns.
  2. Cook patties Heat a small drizzle of oil in a fry-pan on medium heat. Cook patties in two batches, for 3-4 minutes each side, or until cooked through. Remove from pan and cover to rest. Alternatively, cook patties on BBQ. Cut buns in half and place closed, on an oven tray. Bake for 5-7 minutes, until heated through and slightly toasted. Alternatively, toast on BBQ for about 45 seconds.
  3. Prep salad Separate lettuce leaves; thinly slice tomatoes, cucumber and avocado; grate carrot; crumble feta cheese. Set all aside on a platter.
  4. Serve everything in the middle of the table for everyone build their own burgers.
