Lamb Burgers

Ingredients

Lamb Burgers

  • 1 pack Greek lamb mince
  • 5 burger buns, cut in half
  • ½ cos lettuce *
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 Lebanese cucumber
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 carrot
  • 50g feta cheese
  • 1 pack tomato chutney
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise ^

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Preheat BBQ grill to medium (if using). Prep patties Using wet hands, divide lamb mince into 6 and shape into patties, a little larger than buns.
  2. Cook patties Heat a small drizzle of oil in a fry-pan on medium heat. Cook patties in two batches, for 3-4 minutes each side, or until cooked through. Remove from pan and cover to rest. Alternatively, cook on BBQ.
  3. Toast buns While patties cook, place burger buns on an oven tray. Bake for 5-7 minutes, until heated through and slightly toasted. Alternatively, toast on BBQ for about 45 seconds.
  4. Prep salad While patties cook, separate lettuce leaves; thinly slice tomatoes, cucumber and avocado; grate carrot; crumble feta cheese. Set all aside on a platter.
  5. Serve burgers filled with patties, veggies, feta, tomato chutney and mayonnaise.
