Spring has finally sprung and with the change in season often comes changes in behaviours – whether that’s what we’re eating, how we’re exercising, and so much more. Throughout the 6 Week Kickstart we’ll be sitting down with each of our Wellness Panel to get a little insight into what they’re loving this spring.

First up, it’s our Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Manager, Catherine ‘Cucumber ‘ Bell.

As My Food Bag’s nutrition guru, Catherine cuts through the nutrition confusion by keeping up to date with evidenced based nutrition science. Catherine’s focus is on delivering accurate, practical, and attainable dietary advice that is entirely ‘fad-free’ – no detoxes, or buzz words here!

Here’s what she’s loving this spring!

  1. Getting outdoors again in the warmer weather – I find even a short walk through my local park as energising as any gym workout so I’m thrilled to be back out there.
  1. Asparagus is back on the menu! I’m adding roast asparagus to everything at the moment, topped with toasted almonds and a sprinkle of salt is my favourite way to enjoy them.
  1. I give myself some grace through winter, but now spring is here I back to keeping an eye on my daily steps. It motivates me to walk rather than drive when it’s only a short way.
  1. Fresh fruit and greek yoghurt is my go-to breakfast this season. I sprinkle pumpkin seeds and coconut for some texture. It’s so nice to switch it and be having fresh and cooling foods again.
  1. Our amazing Fresh Start Chef Amber “Agria” told me about Sleep Stories that you can listen to online or through meditation apps and I’ve been loving those lately. It can be hard to sleep with the longer lighter evenings approaching so I’ll have these on rotation!
