Growing great Kiwi Kids, together

We're on a mission to improve kids’ food choices and health in New Zealand.

We currently have the 3rd highest rate of obesity in the OECD and Kiwi kids play a critical role in how we shape a sustainable New Zealand.

The knowledge to grow and confidence to cook your own food, at a young age, will lead to better food choices in the future.

My Food Bag and Garden to Table Trust are determined to make a difference in our communities through the food choices we make, starting with Kiwi kids in our primary schools. With your help, we’re on a mission to get 2000 more kids on the Garden to Table programme, teaching Kiwis to grow, nurture, harvest, cook and share fresh food.

Every $10 donated supports a Kiwi kid to receive at least 30 hours of gardening and cooking based education per annum.

All you need to do is choose to donate $1, $2 or $4 and this will automatically be donated with every My Food Bag, Bargain Box or Fresh Start delivery.

"Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime!"

At My Food Bag, our big dream is to inspire Kiwi families to be happier and healthier, one meal at a time.

Happiness comes from a better understanding of where our food comes from, nutrition, sustainability and how to prepare, cook and share food.

Garden to Table Trust and My Food Bag are a ‘match made in food heaven’. We’re both creating a happier, healthier New Zealand through better food choices.

A charitable trust supporting Kiwi kids, the Garden to Table programme integrates into the primary school curriculum to help kids grow, care for, harvest, cook and share plant-based food.

Launched in August 2020, check back shortly to see how much we've raised and how many more kids are on the programme.
