Beef Yakisoba Bowl

Our yakisoba sauce has the perfect blend of sweet and savoury to bring out the earthy flavour of the soba noodles in this dish.


Ingredients

Noodles

  • 1 broccoli, finely chopped
  • 1/2 pack soba noodles
  • 350g slaw
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar

Beef & Venison

  • 1 brown onion, finely diced
  • 2 garlic clove, thinly sliced
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 100g yakisoba sauce
  • 1 pinch of chilli flakes

To Serve

  • 2 spring onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 radish, grated
  • 1 bunch mint, leaves picked

Steps

  1. Bring a medium pot of salted water to the boil.
  2. Prep spring onion, radish and mint. Set aside.
  3. Prep onion and garlic. Heat sesame oil in a large fry-pan on high heat. Add onion and garlic and cook for about 3 minutes, until starting to soften. Add beef and venison and cook for about 5 minutes, until cooked. Add yakisoba sauce and chilli flakes and cook for 1 minute to heat through. Remove from heat and season to taste with salt and pepper. Keep warm.
  4. Prep broccoli. Cook noodles in pot of boiling water for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes add broccoli to pot and cook for a further 2-3 minutes, until noodles and broccoli are tender. Drain and keep warm.
  5. Toss cooked noodles and broccoli in a medium bowl with remaining noodle ingredients and season to taste with salt and pepper.
  6. Noodles topped with beef and venison. Top with radish and a sprinkle of spring onions and mint.
