Ready Made Chicken Tikka Masala Curry

The hard work has been done for you for this easy ready made meal. Tender free range chicken is smothered in a delicious Indian-spiced tomato and coconut sauce that you will heat before you know it.

  1. If frozen, defrost completely before heating. Remove any packets inside the container before heating. Remove film seal completely. Bring a kettle to the boil.
  2. Combine rice, boiling water measure and a pinch of salt in a pot and bring to the boil with the lid on. Once boiling, reduce to lowest heat to cook for 12 minutes. Turn off heat and steam, covered, for 5 more minutes. Do not lift lid during cooking.
  3. Microwave: Serves 2: Cook on HIGH for 6-8 minutes, until piping hot. Stir halfway through cooking time. Serves 4: Cook on HIGH for 12-16 minutes, until piping hot. Stir halfway through cooking time. If container is too large for your microwave, transfer meal to a microwave safe bowl.
  4. Oven: Preheat oven to 180°C on bake. DO NOT GRILL. Place container on an oven tray and cook for 30-40 minutes, or until heated through and piping hot. Remove from oven on tray.
  5. Pot: Transfer meal into a pot, cover with a lid and cook on medium heat for about 10-15 minutes, stirring often until piping hot.
  6. Plate rice with curry.
