BBQ Apple Cobbler

Ingredients

BBQ Apple Cobbler

  • 2-3 apples
  • 1 sachet cobbler mix
  • 100g butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 4 dollops of whipped cream or scoops of ice cream (optional)

Steps

  1. Preheat BBQ hot plate to medium. Slice apples into 1cm wedges.
  2. Combine cobbler mix, butter and vanilla essence in a medium bowl.
  3. Tear 4 x 30cm squares of foil and 4 x 30cm squares of baking paper. Place the foil down on clean bench and top with baking paper. Divide cobbler mix between squares, pressing down into an oblong shape and arrange apples on top in a single layer. Fold into a parcel.
  4. Cook on BBQ hot plate, with the lid closed, for 5 minutes each side. Open each parcel carefully and turn onto a plate so the cobbler mix is on top.
  5. To serve, dollop with whipped cream or ice cream (if using).
