Ingredients

Fries

  • 600g agria potatoes

Beef

  • 1 pack beef sirloin steaks
  • 1 pack beef spice rub

Slaw

  • ¼ cup mayo ^
  • 1 capsicum
  • ½ bag baby spinach *
  • 1 pack ranchslaw
  • ½ cup grated cheese *

To Serve

  • ¼ cup tomato sauce (optional) ^

Steps

  1. Prep and cook fries Preheat oven to 220°C. Preheat BBQ hot plate (if using). Cut potatoes into 1cm fries. Toss on a lined oven tray with a small drizzle of oil and season. Cook for 25-30 minutes, until golden.
  2. Prep beef Pat beef dry. Toss in a medium bowl with beef spice rub, ½ tsp salt and a small drizzle of oil. Use a smaller amount of rub or keep beef plain for little foodies.
  3. Cook beef When 10 minutes cook time remains on fries, heat a small drizzle of oil in a large fry-pan on high heat. Cook beef for 2-3 minutes each side for medium-rare (depending on thickness), or until cooked to your liking. Alternatively, cook beef on BBQ. Set aside to rest, covered, 3-4 minutes. Slice beef against the grain and reserve resting juices.
  4. Prep slaw In a large bowl, mix mayo and a drizzle of vinegar. Thinly slice capsicum and roughly chop spinach. Add to bowl with mayo, along with remaining salw ingredients. Toss and season.
  5. Serve fries, slaw and beef drizzled with resting juices. Serve with tomato sauce for little foodies.
