Fish Tacos with Salad and Lemon Aioli

Ingredients

Tacos

  • 450g market fish
  • 1 pack fish spice mix
  • 10 wholemeal tortillas

Salad

  • ½ cos lettuce *
  • 1 capsicum
  • 1 tomato
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Lemon Aioli

  • ¼ cup mayo
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 pack chipotle sauce

Steps

  1. Prep fish Preheat oven to 180°C. Pat fish dry and remove any scales or bones. Cut fish into 2 x 8cm strips, coat in fish spice mix and season with salt. Set aside.
  2. Heat tortillas Wrap tortilla stack in foil and place in the oven to warm for 5 minutes.
  3. Prep salad Finely chop lettuce; thinly slice capsicum; dice tomato 1cm. Add all to a medium bowl, toss with a drizzle of olive oil and lemon juice and season to taste.
  4. Cook fish Heat a drizzle of oil in a large fry-pan on medium-high heat and cook fish, in two batches, for 1-2 minutes each side, until just cooked through. In a small bowl mix mayonnaise and lemon juice. Alternatively, for the adults mix chipotle with ¼ cup mayo and serve lemon wedges on the side.
  5. Serve tortillas filled with salad and fish pieces. Top with a dollop of lemon aioli, or chipotle mayo.
