As a co-founder and nutritionist at My Food Bag my role is to design exciting, easy-to-follow recipes, with the best possible ingredients and produce. I work closely with our talented team of recipe developers and test cooks, who help conjure up the My Food Bag magic. Being a nutritionist, as well as a cook, I've created meals to delight your taste buds without offending your waistline!
My Food Bag is simply a brilliant way of bringing beautiful produce, healthy recipes and delicious flavours together at home. I am a firm believer in the Nude Food philosophy – eating real food from the ground, sea or sky (not the factories)!
My cooking style is seasonally focused. That means that you're buying locally grown NZ made products instead of imported produce that has sat around for months in cool storage. I will be creating delicious, nutritious recipes every season.
I've never cooked that!
My Food Bag recipes are a delight to discover every week. There might be new ingredients you haven't cooked before. If you're not used to eating something, give it a go - hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised and find that you do like it!
At only 12 years of age, I began writing about food – a journal of ideas that captured my vision of what food should be – simple healthy and delicious. I called it ‘Food in the Nude’. Fast-forward the clock almost two decades later and I stand by my Nude Food philosophy – eat real food that comes from the ground, sea and sky, and less from factories. This enduring philosophy is at the very heart of everything we do at My Food Bag – it guides our choice of ingredients and suppliers as well as the recipe design for Food Bags.
